Peachtree Santas held it's 1st virtual meeting Saturday, 8/15/20 at noon, with Lisa Crossman M.S., Deputy Director Cobb & Douglas Public Health delivering an update on Covid-19, including caution on where to get accurate information, noting 2 trusted websites, guidance on properly protecting yourself this Season, Ga's specifics both good news & not-so-good, & the High Spread areas & what that means. She talked about testing, free vs paid, Rapid Testing, Antibody Testing, the difference in face shield vs mask, & answered lots of specific questions from participants in the meeting.  It was gripping to hear that 35% of those testing positive had no symptoms at all.

 

Discussion among participants followed the report where we were introduced to info on multiple layer cloth masks allowing for HEPPA filter inserts, links for Santa PPE, an overview on virtual Santa visits, & where to get beautiful backdrops free! We displayed the Peachtree Santa 1st place trophy for "Best State Representation" won at the 1st Celebrate Santa Festival, & were reminded by our Treasurer that dues are now automated, & due for 2020, in order to be eligible to vote for the 2021-2022 Peachtree Santa Board of Directors this fall, per our Bylaws.
